Recovery Equipment at its Best
In October 1987 J&J Conversions was founded with the ambition of manufacturing the
highest quality recovery equipment at the most competitive prices whilst also providing a
service backup to match.
Four years later we commissioned a local construction
company to build a purpose built headquarters for design and manufacture,(impressive by
any standards). This unique facility was designed by Richard and Mick who are the
business partners at the forefront of J&J.
15 years later through new and innovative designs our customer base has expanded at
such a rate, resulting in the need for more space and staff.
The continuation of resources being put into research and development has enabled us
to make the life of the recovery operator that much easier, one example of this is our new
F1 Low Approach Aluminium slide bed shown below.
We also have several other new products in development soon to be released which
include a new lightweight Slide bed Transporter and a heavy Underlift range from 7-25T.
J&J Conversions have gained the reputation
for producing a very high quality product and have become industry leaders using all the latest technology in auto cad/Inventor design.
Due to the continued success of the new products we are now expanding further into an additional 10,000 square foot
factory giving us a total manufacturing base of 26,000 square foot on 2.5 acres and increasing our staffing levels and production output by 43%.
Richard and Mick
believe the key to their success and expansion is mainly due to the dedication
and hard work from staff in addition to their customers input.
"We always endeavour to give our staff a high standard of working conditions and treat
them as part of a successful team. We value their input not only into the product but also
their thoughts on how to make the company run smoothly, unfortunately dinner breaks
still don't exist for Mick and myself but when you see the quality of the product and
continued growth it is well worth it".
We are continually looking to ensure our staff are in the right position to maximize
their full potential within the company. 18 months ago we had a major management restructure
which has been an enormous advantage in the further success of the company.
Richard and Mick truly believe the company's success has been down to listening to the
customer's feedback to give the operator a product that not only looks good but does the
job with ease with excellent reliability and durability. We solely rely on customer's
satisfaction and recommendation for future orders as we do not employ any sales
personnel or any sales staff.
Richard and Mick deal direct with the customers themselves
to ensure the vehicle is built exactly to their requirements.
Richard says he would sooner put the money into the product and backup service rather
than employing sales staff.
